Wide World For Refugee, in collaboration with IRC, KCLS, and the City of Tukwila, is thrilled to announce the hosting of World Refugee Day. World Refugee Day, initially celebrated on June 20, 2001, commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. This day is dedicated to honoring refugees' contributions and fostering empathy and understanding for their challenges, highlighting their resilience in building a brighter future.

The 2024 event is scheduled to take place on 06/22/2024 at Forster High School in Tukwila, Washington state from 12pm to 5pm. We anticipate a gathering of over 600 participants and more than 50 organizations. The festivities will include cultural dances from various countries, dedicated spaces for children and youth, poetry readings, and much more.
