World Refugee Day Celebration 2026

​Join us for a powerful and inspiring celebration of resilience, culture, and community at the World Refugee Day Event 2026, taking place on June 20, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Foster High School.

4242 S 144th St, Tukwila, WA 98168

Hosted by Wide World for Refugee, this annual event is proudly organized in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), King County Library System (KCLS), and the City of Tukwila.

This vibrant, free and family-friendly event will bring together over 50 local organizations, community leaders, and advocates dedicated to supporting and uplifting refugees and immigrants. Attendees will experience a rich lineup of live performances from diverse cultural backgrounds, including music, dance, poetry, and storytelling that reflect the strength and beauty of our global community.

In addition to performances, the event will feature:

  • Community resource booths

  • Cultural exhibitions

  • Opportunities to connect with local organizations

  • Family-friendly activities for all ages
